Medford, MA - 2nd Alarm, 6 Ashland Stret, 11-7-09 : Medford Fire Department responded to this house fire at 6 Ashland Street just outside Medford Square. Companies had heavy fire in the attic, a second alarm assignment was requested to the scene. The companies made an aggressive interior attack and quickly knocked down the heavy fire.

Lawrence, MA - 3rd Alarm, 9 South Canal Street, 11-6-09 : Lawrence, MA Fire Department responded to a fire at the former Merrimack Paper Company. Three alarms were quickly transmitted, and the building which sits along the Merrimack River became well involved.

Winthrop, MA - Working Fire, 180 Pauline Street, 10-31-09 : Winthrop Fire received a call for a fire at 180 Pauline Street. Winthrop Police arrived first and reported heavy fire showing from a barn in the rear of the house. Fire companies arrived soon after and reported a working fire. Several houses were very close to the barn and big lines were stretched to protect exposures. The fire was quickly knocked down. Massport Engine 5 and Chelsea Ladder 2 responded to the scene to assist Winthrop companies. Revere, Chelsea, and Boston covered the town.

Winthrop, MA - Working Fire, 110 Circuit Road, 10-24-09 : Shortly before 6:30 Pm Winthrop Fire recieved a call for an inside fire at 110 Circuit Road. Engine 2 was first to arrive and found a heavy smoke condition inside the house. The fire was on the first floor rear of the house. The fire was quickly knocked down and contained to one room.

Saugus, MA - Working Fire, 60 Salem Turnpike, 10-8-09 : Saugus FIre Department got a call from Revere Fire over the Metrofire frequency reporting a fire at the former Atlantic Lobster on Salem Turnpike. The first arriving companies found the building well involved and went into a defensive operation. The building which was vacant was undergoing demolition.

Winthrop, MA - Water Incident, Winthrop Beach, 9-28-09 : Winthrop Fire, Police, and Harbormaster responded to a report of a man in the water off Winthrop Beach. Winthrop Fire launched their rescue boat along with the harbormaster boat that responded from the town pier. The victim was recovered in the cold water in cardiac arrest. He was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Marblehead, MA - 3rd Alarm, 9 Auburndale Road, 9-28-09 : A large house on Auburndale Road was heavily damaged in this evening fire. Marblehead Fire C-1 was first to arrive on scene and ordered the second and third alarms quickly. Companies were forced to switch to defensive operations due to the heavy fire conditions before advancing back into the house to knock down the remaining fire.

Chelsea, MA - 2nd Alarm, 26 Warren Ave, 1-23-09 : Shortly after 1:00 AM on January 23rd, 2009 Chelsea Fire Alarm struck Box 454 for a building fire at 26 Warren Ave. Engine 1 was first due and reported heavy fire showing. A working fire was struck followed by a second alarm and several special calls. Companies had to retreat from the building due to heavy fire conditions. Once the heavy fire was knocked down the companies made an interior attack, knocking down the remaining fire.

Winthrop, MA - MVA, Pleasant Street and Brookfield Road, 1-17-09 : Winthrop fire and police units responded to the intersection of Pleasant Street and Brookfield Road for a car that fell into a sink hole. The town had been dealing with a loss of water pressure all day, but the break could not be located. When the vehicle drove over the site of the break, the road gave way. The driver was not injured.

Melrose, MA - 3rd Alarm, 6 Indian Hill Lane, 1-14-09 : Melrose Fire Department with mutual aide from Wakefield, Malden, Stoneham, Saugus, Medford, Everett, and Reading fought this fire that started just before midnight at 6 Indian Hill Lane, which is a dead end street off Porter Street. The fire appeared to have started in the garage and extended up the number 4 side of the building.

Lynn, MA - 3rd Alarm, 50 Burrill Ave, 1-9-09 : A fire that started in the basement at 50 Burrill Ave extended into the walls and through the roof. Freezing temperatures hampered firefighters. Swampscott Engine 21 responded on the line box. Engines from Salem, Peabody, and Marblehead also responded to the fire.
